Peter Musco, Founder & CEO
XKal Fitness (Australia) Pty Ltd (“XKal”) is an Australian based pure fitness technology start-up company operating out of Cremorne, Victoria (the “Silicon Valley” of Australian tech and unicorn startups).
Founded by Peter Musco, CEO & Chair, XKal has experienced an exponential level of growth in both product development (concept to MVP, MVP to commercialization, and now globalization) and market penetration.
From just an idea in 2021, XKal has evolved from a concept on a document (December 2021), to MVP (first beta test on the 26th of April 2022) to full commercialization (version 1) on the 21st of November 2022.
XKal’s next phase is to penetrate international markets beginning with the UK and Germany commencing 2nd half 2023 FY.
During this very short but rapid period, XKal has been fortunate to be selected as 1 of 21 companies in Australia to participate in the Victorian Governments (LaunchVic) pre-accelerator program facilitated by the Australian Sport Technology Network (ASTN) in collaboration with the Global Sports Innovation Centre (GSIC) and then 1 in 6 companies in Australia to participate in the ASTN-GSIC full accelerator program for 2022.
During this period, XKal has also partnered with the Australian Governments CSIRO deep technology division, Data 61, in addition to the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS), Canberra where XKal is currently in the process of expanding its technology into the fitness hardware space.
XKal has also raised funds via a “mini-cap raise” (funding concept to MVP) and a “mini Series A” (funding MVP to commercialization, v1). Both raises bringing valuable capital, knowledge and experienced investors to the XKal cap table. XKal will continue to seek investment in the 2023-24 period to further fund product development (both software and hardware) in addition to its rapid “go to market” strategy, locally and abroad.
